Free Favicon Icon Editor

I’m forever fiddling with my sites and I noticed that some websites show a little icon to the left of the URL.

After a little digging I found out they’re called favicons and you typically need a specialized editor to create the tiny images.

I found this nice icon editor that allows you to create an icon from any picture. Works great for making little icon heads of yourself!

Once you make either a 16×16 or 32×32 pixel icon, you upload it to your website and add these two lines within the head tags of your HTML.

It adds a nice branding touch to your sites.
